Petrocub
FC Petrocub Hîncești, commonly known as Petrocub Hîncești or simply Petrocub, is a Moldovan professional football club founded in 1994 and based in Hîncești. The club plays at the Municipal Stadium in Hîncești and competes in the Liga, the top tier of Moldovan football. Their most notable achievement came in the 2023-24 season when they won their first Super Liga title and reached the UEFA Conference League league phase, becoming only the second Moldovan team to reach the group or league stage of a UEFA club competition.

Fotbal Club Petrocub Hîncești is a professional football club that has undergone multiple name changes throughout its history. Originally founded as Petroclub-Condor Sărata-Galbenă in 1994, the club has been known by various names including Spicul Sărata-Galbenă, FC Hîncești, and Rapid-2 Petrocub before settling on its current name FC Petrocub Hîncești in 2015.
Most recent season and achievements
The 2023-24 season marked a historic milestone for the club. On 18 May 2024, after a 4–1 victory over Zimbru Chișinău, Petrocub Hîncești were declared champions of the Super Liga for the first time in their history. The club also made significant strides in European competition, advancing to the UEFA Conference League league phase after initially progressing through the UEFA Europa League qualifying rounds.
History
Early years
The club was established in 1994 as Petroclub-Condor Sărata-Galbenă. In its early years, the club experienced frequent name changes, becoming Spicul Sărata-Galbenă in 1995 and later Petrocub-Spicul Sărata-Galbenă in 1998.
Successful period
The club achieved notable success in lower divisions, winning the Divizia „B" title in both 2004–05 and 2013–14 seasons. They also claimed their first major cup trophy by winning the Moldovan Cup in the 2019–20 season.
Current period
In January 2024, Petrocub Hîncești entered into a partnership with an unnamed investment company, which brought significant changes to the club's management structure. Former Asante Kotoko CEO, Nana Yaw Amponsah, was named as the new President of the club. This period culminated in their historic Super Liga triumph and European success in 2024.

Continental and global competitions
On 13 August 2024, after winning their UEFA Europa League third qualifying round tie against The New Saints, Petrocub advanced to the play-off round. Although they were defeated by Ludogorets Razgrad in the play-offs, this result moved them to the league phase of the UEFA Conference League, making them only the second Moldovan team to reach the group or league stage of a UEFA club competition. As of 7 August 2025, Petrocub Hîncești is ranked 151st in the UEFA club coefficient rankings.

Current logo and logo history
The club's emblem has traditionally featured a Black-White logo design. Their secondary emblem incorporates Salty-Yellow colors along with a Noble Knight design featuring a cool shade of blue, red, and green elements, maintaining consistency with the Black and White logo aesthetic.
