Additionally, United City withdrew from the competition before the season began, citing financial issues. The league introduced the PFF Developmental Team, featuring the Philippine national youth team, similar to the previous Azkals Development Team that participated from 2020 to 2023.

In January 2025, Rizal Memorial Stadium underwent pitch renovation in preparation for AFC Asian Cup qualifiers, leading to matches being split between UP Diliman Football Field and Biñan Football Stadium. The Iloilo Sports Complex also served as a venue for Kaya–Iloilo's matches during the season.
