Rīgas Futbola skola, also known as Rīgas FS or RFS, is a Latvian women's football club from Riga founded in 1962 as part of the Riga Football School youth academy. The club competes in the top-level Latvian Women's League and has established itself as the most successful women's football team in Latvia, winning eight league championships between 2013 and 2021, along with six cup titles from 2014 to 2019.
Rīgas Futbola skola is the women's section of the Riga Football School youth academy, which was founded in 1962 and is owned by the Riga City Council. The senior men's team of the academy currently plays in the Latvian Third League. The women's team was established by 2013 and represents one of the most successful women's football clubs in Latvia.
The club's most recent documented achievements include winning the Latvian Women's League championship in 2020 and 2021, continuing their dominance in Latvian women's football. As of August 2021, the team was coached by Didzis Matīss.
The Riga Football School was originally founded in 1962 as a youth academy owned by the Riga City Council. The women's football section was established much later, with the women's team being created by 2013 as part of the academy's expansion into women's football.
From 2013 to 2018, Rīgas FS dominated Latvian women's football, winning six consecutive league championships. During this period, they also achieved significant success in cup competitions, winning the Latvian Women's Cup from 2014 to 2019, establishing themselves as the premier women's football club in the country.
Following a brief interruption in their league dominance, Rīgas FS returned to winning ways by capturing the championship in both 2020 and 2021. However, the club underwent significant changes when most of their players were spun off in 2021-2022 to form the nucleus of a new squad under the leadership of FK RFS, while the remaining players continued playing for Rīgas FS.

The similarly-named RFS Women team, formerly known as SFK Rīga or SFK RFS until 2024, represents the female section of the men's Virslīga side RFS. This team was founded in 2021-2022 when most of the Rīgas FS squad was spun off under new leadership, creating a natural rivalry between the two clubs with shared origins.
Rīgas FS operates under the ownership of the Riga City Council through the Riga Football School academy structure. This municipal ownership provides stability and continuity for the club's operations within the broader framework of youth football development in Riga.
The club also fielded a farm team in the top league called RFS/46. vsk in partnership with the Riga Secondary School No. 46 football academy during 2015 and 2016, demonstrating their commitment to developing young talent through collaborative partnerships with educational institutions.
